Our son the tour guide

Josiah met us at the gate, ready to show us his adopted town of København. He led us through the metro, did the change of trains, got us to our airbnb, up the five flight of stairs and then off we went to our first Christmas Market and walked along the stroget – one of the Europe’s first and longest pedestrian walking streets. We walked along the cobblestones by DIS, his school for the year, then broke for a meditarrean lunch, and then visited the Round Tower – an early observatory that was created with a ramp inside so the king could ride his horse and carriage to the top of the six-stories – for an amazing panaromic view.

It is a city meant for walking and for watching out for bikes – which own the streets, the sidewalks, and are more numerous than cars. We all did our best to adjust to the time zone, we will see how we did when tomorrow comes when we have the zoo and the design museum all planned before lunch.
