Siri and David are starting on their many adventures in 2026. We are currently headed to the Dominican Republic to visit Siri’s Peace Corps host family – haven’t been back in 35 years (!) so it will be quite the reunion. Then we plan to visit Grenada and Barbados with college friends. If you would like to receive posts in your inbox, just sign up below.

Horses and history in the morning
Sunday, April 12, 2026 Today is an early start to catch the ‘bathing the horses” a 50 year-old ritual of bringing the thoroughbreds down from the racetrack for an early morning swim and bath. Supposedly it started with the local horses from the army garrison, which is now a full-fledged horse track with regular races. … Continue reading Horses and history in the morning
Beach day

No, the two beers and the peanut butter and jelly did not make it into this… Continue reading We say good-bye – to Grenada
A day off island

That is the real name of this sandy beach in a traquil protected cove with a few houses and stores. No hotels, no resorts, mostly locals in the water and few colorful fishing boats. We had planned… Continue reading A day off island
