City Rhythms

With an early morning start, we are slowly getting used to the new time zone as we hear the sounds of a city coming to life.

Last night we dined at one of the many first floor restaurants close to our apartment at a very American-like burger place. Our Romanian bartender poured us some tasty Christmas beer and the other local favorite while stating that he especially liked Americans. Josiah and I had just ventured back from visiting the planetarium to watch a beautiful IMAX film with stunning images from Iceland where he had been just two weeks prior. On the way home, we stop to pick up breakfast food at the small urban market conveniently located below the Starbucks.

Traveling has its own rhythms and we are starting to find ours. An early morning start with heavy rye bread, with meats, cheeses and scrambled eggs. Then off for a day of exploring. Today we have planned to visit the zoo – where Bob reminded us that there are pandas – then a boat tour, walk the iconic canal of nyhaven and finish with the Danish Design Museum where I am told we will be treated to over 100 Danish chairs.
