Day 28: Lisbon, Portugal to Seattle, Washington, USA

It is always easier to pack to leave.
There are no choices of what should go in or not. Only change is the few (?) souvenirs we may have picked up along the way. You do start to wonder what you are going to do with a few more (but very cute) coffee cups (and tiles) when you get home.
We have a cup of tea and coffee and wait for the taxi – which doesn’t come. So we ask for help from a nice woman on the street and off we go. Glad we gave ourselves (hopefully) lots of time. The taxi driver had to stop in at his house along the way so we wait with the car running on the sidewalk. And now we are really off..
Fairly easy moving through the airport. We make it through the gauntlet of the duty free zone and almost get overtaken by the perfume. It does feel we have to show our passport every other corner. We think we have made it through the last one – and then there is one more. 🙂
Time to finish up the journals, start putting things into airplane mode, last trip to the bathrooms, and start reading that book I had meant to start a month ago…
Until we see you all back in Seattle.
