A morning in Sedona

Sedona, AZ

Siri really wanted to check out Sedona, so we took a slight detour and were also not disappointed.  That may be our mantra – every supposed detour leads to something special.  We find a cute Airbnb at the base of Sugarloaf mountain and get to hike up the next morning for sunrise by just walking out the door.

Enjoy the views!

Our morning sunrise view on top of sugarloaf with red mountain in the background
The full view with chimney rock as well
Seven hot air balloons joined us for the sunrise
Our nice porch and garden
The view into the canyon going into Sedona – over six hairpin turns to get down (on the right)
On the way from Zion to Sedona, we crossed over the Colorado at Glen Canyon and the Navajo Bridge(s) – amazing views and history of the native Americans who have been on this land for thousands of years
Glen Canyon and the Colorado – the bridge provided the first easy connection across the divide in the early 1920’s – the end of the red rocks from the distinctive Vermillion cliffs are in the distance
