We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary while staying in a bed and breakfast in beautiful Acadia National Park. A few friends told us that Acadia was similar to the Puget Sound San Juan Islands – and we agree. Green forests, scenic views, beaches, nice restaurants, and a slower pace of life. A good way to celebrate thirty-two years of love and friendship.
Today was a great “land snorkeling” day. It started off with a cafe closed that invited us to explore elsewhere, onto a horse drawn carriage ride, scenic mountain views, and ended with a nice dinner and a view of the sunset off our balcony. Oh, and there was the online training to be completed for Siri’s parks and trails commission. A good microcosm of our relationship from shared discovery, new and old experiences, some personal downtime and still a commitment to public service and community.
Happy day to everyone!
