Green Pit Vipers

Day 46:  Khao Sok National Park, Southern Thailand

On our rest day we take a float in the park
And catch limestone cliffs, monkeys, a few snakes, and lots of birds
We are looking for a green pit (poisonous !) snake- just above our heads
We find one
And another!
We float through the limestone cliffs – we decide it is not a good idea to go swimming
We enjoy the slow pace through the jungle
We stop at a cave with some amazing designs
Check out how to boil water in the bamboo
And they pour the hot water into the homemade bamboo cups for a fresh cup of coffee and tea
After our coffee stop … we head back to the rafts
To finish up our float on the river
And a nice lunch view of the mountains …
… and the valley

Tomorrow is our final day of biking.  We start along the west coast of Thailand (we have been on the east so far) then head across to a small bay.  We will finish up with a boat ride and then say goodbye to our friends this past week.  We are glad to have finished with a tour – an easier way to see the country and to meet fellow travelers.

We will then be dropped off at the airport for our late transfer back to Bangkok.  After a half day in Bangkok,  we will then be headed home.

Ready or not … We are coming home. 🙂

Last evening in the jungle
