Ended day at Zion and the view from our front porch – looking at “The Watchman” – it watches over the southern entrance into ZionWe started the day early with sunrise at Bryce Canyon National ParkWe embark on the first long hike of our trip down into the hoodoos – and we know have to make it back up tooThe view of the amphitheater – largest number of hoodoos in the worldThe morning colors illuminate the areaA few small tunnels help us through the rocksA beautiful morningThe hike back up had quite the switchbacks – I’m sure Siri’s Dad would have enjoyed the trail work and especially that we met up with a Road Scholar group, the travel group he has done more than 30 tripsThe sun finally makes it to the bottom and top of the canyonAnd so do we – we make it out of the canyon! Woohoo! At 8,000 feet you can feel each stepWe continue to check out the rest of Bryce – here we are at the Highest view of the Amphitheater from Bryce PointWe go to the furthest southern part of Bryce to take in the whole parkAnd the final view South, where we can just see where Zion and the Grand canyon are in the far distance. We stop to support the local economy on our way to Zion – some yummy brownies too!The sun is just starting to set on our cute little villageAnd then the final last outburst of light before we call it a night ourselves
Really enjoying ALL the pics, looks amazing. Cheers!
