Beach day

Saturday, April 11, 2026 – Bridgetown, Barbados

We leaned all in on the island vibe.   Rented chairs and an umbrella for our morning swim and float in the waves (tried without too much success to body surf), had lunch next door on the beach, and then a long walk along the boardwalk almost all the way into Bridgetown.  Dinner was outside which provided more people watching along the very popular St. Lawrence Gap walkway.

I think we easy’ed into it quite well.

A good beach day
Lunch – chicken roti
Fancy way to serve up bubbly water
Spicy margaritas
Local cricket game next door
Traditional wooden houses – not too far from the fancy condos and resort beaches
Walk along the boardwalk
White sand beaches
Sheltered swimming area
This rooster, one of the regulars, seems to have this chair every night
Pig tails and a fresh salad – fun to try out local foods and a good surpise to know that salads are OK, similar to finding out that you can drink from the tap
